Forget Vinnie, meet Minnie Jones!

Well, her name’s Elizabeth Lambert actually, but you could be forgiven for thinking she was some relative of the former Wimbledon hard man. Elizabeth became a hit on Youtube following video footage of her antics being posted on the site.

Online campaigns following the publicity lead to her being suspended from her team at the University of Mexico. Still, if she continues to follow in Vinnie’s footsteps she can look forward to a glittering future in movies. After all, if Vinnie can get away with that, there’s every hope for her!

Free Images and Stock Photography Proves Popular

I recently wrote an article for Hubpages called, Finding Free Images and Royalty Free Stock Photographs which has proven to be remarkably popular with that readership so I thought I should probably mention it here too as it’s every bit as relevant to the blog community as it is to the writing community over there.

The article talks about the hidden dangers of not checking image copyright approvals before reusing images culled from the web, and how to avoid the potentially nasty experience of a hefty bill arriving in the post unexpectedly one morning.

Anyway, pop over and have a read if you’re interested. The article also includes links to a number of my favourite sources for finding free images to use, so even if you’re familiar with the subject matter there could still be something of interest there.

light humour to break the ice...

It's a lovely sunny afternoon in spring. George decides to go out for a walk and as he's walking along he begins to hear a chanting noise, off somewhere in the distance. As he gets closer he notices that it's coming from the local mental institution.

Intrigued to know what all the fuss is about he decides to walk past and see if he can find out more. As he walks along the perimeter he begins to hear the residents chanting, "Thirteen! Thirteen! Thirteen!"

He's quite puzzled by this and as he continues to stroll past he notices just up ahead a small hole in the fence, about waist height. Looking around he sees that there's no-one else about so decides to take a peek.

So he bends down and puts his eye to the hole, inquisitive to what all the commotion's about. Immediately a finger comes through and pokes him in the eye.

As George rolls around on the floor, everyone in the mental institution starts chanting "Fourteen! Fourteen! Fourteen!"
